Hannes Aigner on the journey and the destination

I'm Hannes Aigner, a kayak athlete from Augsburg. Four-time Olympian, world champion, multiple medalist – those sound like goals you can tick off. For me, it's different. My motivation doesn't come from external sources, but from within.

I love being on the water. This sport has been with me since I first sat in a boat as a child. And even today, it's not primarily about the competition for me. It's about the process – the daily work, the focus, the small steps that ultimately make great things possible.

Pure momentum

Training for the perfect moment

When everything comes together – timing, technique, feeling – that one moment happens. The moment I train for. To get there, I invest a lot – physically and mentally. Up to 20 hours a week, always striving to push my limits. Recovery is crucial.Creapure® has been an integral part of my supplement regimen for years. It helps me train harder and recover faster – with the assurance that it's 100% pure and doping-free. As an Olympian, I have to be able to rely on every single ingredient. And that's exactly what I can do with Creapure®.

What drives world champions

Between flow and focus – this is how Hannes thinks about training, regeneration and success

I came into contact with canoeing very early on through my parents. They weren't active in competitive sports, but rather in recreational paddling, but that's how I first got involved. Since there weren't any purely recreational groups for children my age at the time, I joined a competitive group relatively quickly. There I realized how much I enjoyed challenging myself, getting the best out of myself, and seeing progress. This passion motivated me from the very beginning – and it still does today. I love working on myself, developing physically and mentally, and constantly achieving new goals in the sport.

Sport has shown me that I can achieve far more than I sometimes think. I've learned that it's important to work on myself continuously, always give my best, and stick to my big goal even when doubts arise. There are highs and lows, but with discipline, motivation, and perseverance, you can overcome difficult phases and ultimately achieve great goals.

On tough days, what motivates me most is the thought that it's hard for all athletes – and that it's precisely these tough days that make the difference. If it were easy, everyone would be doing it. Creapure supports me by keeping my performance level consistently high over longer periods. I feel more resilient, have more energy, and can therefore train harder. At the same time, I notice that my recovery is improved, which helps me stay consistently strong even over weeks.

One of my most important routines is to start training right after breakfast. I feel most productive in the morning – the workout gives me energy and a positive start to the day. Of course, I also train in the afternoon, but the second session is often significantly more strenuous. Overall, sport has taught me to integrate discipline, structure, and consistency into my daily life. And I'm very grateful that at 36, I can still compete at the top international level.

More specifically, I've noticed that I'm more resilient, can sustain longer training phases at a high level, and my recovery times are shorter. I feel I have more energy during strength training and therefore achieve better results. Overall, Creapure helps me maintain a consistently high level of performance over weeks, train harder, and recover faster at the same time.
